Heavy labor is not for the guests

You take the glass carafe from the table, and are about to pour a glass of water, when a server appears behind you and interrupts you in the process. They take over the carafe from your hands and pour your glass for you. Their duty complete, they disappear into the shadows before you can thank them.

A rather young attendee at your table laughs, and wonders loudly, "what is the expected procedure for pouring a glass of juice? Am I supposed to raise my hand, and wait for someone to do it for me?" They are joking, yet stating a truth. In these cellars, guests are only allowed leisurly activity.
